CAN I WORK WHILE IN CANADA? 

As a full-time student, you are allowed to apply for employment on the college campus and/or for a co-op position during the co-op term of your program. In order to work, you must have a social insurance.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A SOCIAL INSURANCE NUMBER (SIN) TO WORK? 

You must have the SIN to work. To get a SIN, you must have a letter from a prospective employer verifying that you will be employed in one of the situations described above. The application for a SIN can be found at HRDC – Human Resource Development Canada offices. It can be filled in and sent to the address on the form. It may take 4-6 weeks before you receive a SIN. Your SIN will be issued on a temporary basis and will have an expiry date.

HOW DO I RENEW MY STUDY PERMIT? 

Eight weeks prior to your study expiring, you should apply for a study permit extension. you must obtain a letter from institution to verify that you are a full-time student unless you have an offer for the upcoming semester.

HOW DO I RENEW MY RE-ENTRY VISA? 

Your re-entry visa should be updated 4-8 week prior to its expiry date. You can request an application from the international department of the institution. You need to complete the form and then send the form to the Immigration Office. you must also send your passport with it to the Immigration Office.
